It can get pretty cold in Rotorua, so here are a list of things you can do while visiting in the cold months.

The wall is the one and the only indoor rock climbing in Rotorua, which is located below Rock Solid backpackers. The Wall is open 7 days – rain, hail or shine, and is ideally located in the centre of town. The wall is almost 20m at the highest point which makes it one of New Zealand’s highest. We also offer a 17m caving ladder which the kids love. Try top roping, lead climbing or our boulder cave – The Wall has it all.

Art galleries There are 3 different art galleries where they have a collection of wonderful masterpieces that gives you a whole new appreciation for imagination and creativity.

Polynesian Spa is a geothermal spa facility in Rotorua which offers therapeutic benefits to your health, due to the therapeutic properties of the hot mineral spring water and the acidic waters. The waters rejuvenates and alleviates your skin. After your spa treatment you feel refreshed and cleansed. Which then makes your whole body relaxed and ready for your next adventure.

Eat street If you enjoy eating why not head down to eat street where there’s pretty much all kinds of restaurants to choose from, from a flat iron chicken burger to a fancy 3 course meal. Even thinking about it makes you feel hungry. And don’t forget about leaving room for dessert as there’s an ice cream parlor near by as well!
